The works council of the Opel plant in Rüsselsheim informs:
GM-Management receives bonus payments
The works council demands for profit participation
For the last year the President of General Motors Rick Wagoner reiceived a bonus of 2,8 million US-Dollar. Other Top-managers received bonuses for their performance in form of shares, too.
The works council opposes these bonus payments, the more so as General Motors still looses a lot of money in the US and forces plant closures including forced redundancies.
In contrast to the situation in the US in 2006 General Motors earned 227 million US Dollar in Europe. The works council demands that all Opel and General Motors Employees in Europe should participate in that earnings.
