Swedish GM plants under heavy attack

Swedish GM plants are also facing a threat by General Motors

The Saab plant in Trollhättan got the announcement that it will produce the next Delta, but how much? Only 40.000 cars are confirmed (but no signed agreement exists) and additional 40.000 cars depending on approval for an additional product. Transmission plants in Södertälje and Gothenburg (both are small plants but nevertheless people with families are working in the plants) are also threatened with closure by GM Management. Same strategy same bad behaviour by GM Management. How can this Management really run the business successfully? The main task should be selling cars and not closing plants. Swedish GM workers contribute to the gmworkersblog.

When you are speaking about the GM Powertrain plants which are in danger you should not forget the Powertrain plants in Germany! Kaiserslautern as well as Bochum. Therefore, the European Employee Forum (EEF) of General Motors demands for a European Future Agreement for all GM plants and not only Delta
