IG Metall shop stewards elections have started in Rüsselsheim, Germany

Since January the preparations for the set up of the IG Metall shop steward elections in Rüsselsheim, Germany, have started. The shop stewards and the Shop Stewards Committee are the IG Metall representation body at the Opel site in Rüsselsheim. The shop stewards are working hand in hand with the IG Metall members of the Works Council.

In contrast to the works council elections which are based on German law providing the right for every GM/Opel employee at the site to participate, only the IG Metall membership can exclusively participate at the IG Metall shop steward elections. WS
