Future of the GM South Africa plant in South Africa?

Colleagues, the workers at both plants of General Motors South Africa in Port Elizabeth did currently not know how their future looks like. They know for sure that most of the products they have produced (CKD) for years like the Opel Corsa are running out. GM Management does not inform the union and the workers in an appropriate way. One thing seems to be clear: The next models of Opel Astra and Opel Corsa will be imported from other countries. Therefore, there is a need to support the NUMSA union which represents the workers at GM South Africa to get the necessary information what kind of products the plant will get to safeguard the jobs of the workers.
