CGT union of Saragossa plant in Spain is lying to the Spanish workers
Today, the CGT union which is one out of 6 unions which represents the workers at the GM plant in Saragossa, Spain, distributed a leaflet which is full of lies.
CGT blames the European Works Council of GM (EEF) that the EEF would have already signed a European Framework on Outsourcing and would have agreed to a reduction of the workforce in Spain by 900 workers. This is a terrible lie and a betrayal to the proud workers of Saragossa. Today, a meeting of the European Economic Committee of GM will be held on 12.30. The EEF forced GM Management to present detailed information about their plans of outsourcing and headcount reduction especially for Saragossa. The EEF has not signed any outsourcing agreement and will strongly support the works council, unions and workers at the Saragossa plant. Further information will follow.
