Biggest Lordstown local approves contract
LORDSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - The biggest United Auto Workers local at the GM Lordstown complex near Youngstown has approved a tentative contract agreement.
Local 1112 said today that 68% of assembly plant production workers and 60% of skilled workers endorsed the contract.
Vote totals are pending from a second UAW local at the Lordstown fabricating plant.
The UAW struck GM for nearly two days last month before coming to a tentative agreement. Coast-to-coast contract voting ends tomorrow.
