Article on SUV in "Auto, Motor, Sport" includes wrong statement of Klaus Franz
The German journal "Auto, Motor, Sport" reports that Bob Lutz of General Motors plans to cut several projects including the SUV for Antwerp. The article is saying that the Chairman of the European Employee Forum (EEF), Klaus Franz, would support these initiatives. That's clearly wrong.
On behalf of Klaus Franz and the EEF Vice-Chairman Rudi Kennes (Antwerp) I can assure you that the EEF will stick to the Agreement for the Antwerp plant. GM has to fulfill the obligation of an exclusive small SUV with 120.000 units for Antwerp and a potential third model with additional volume to be agreed in 2009.
This news report demonstrates again that some media is trying again and again to play with the fear of people and making money out of it.
