We must stand up !! Now is the time to do so , support Antwerp and fight back : United

First Azambuja - Portugal , now Antwerp- Belgium ?? Its clearly that the Opel top is is searching for a confrontation with the Antwerp workers . Why ?? maybe to find a reason to close the plant !!?? Who is next on the list ? To al the GM Workers i say : united we must stand up to stop this madness . Find the strenght to stand up together against Fortster and the GM top in general . We must stay , Forster must go !! He's the bad appel in our basket !!!He promised a future for Antwerp , now he's breaking this promise by giving "maybe" 80.000 chevrolets . This is ridiculous !! Together we must fight against this madness !!!!

80000 chevrolets for Antwerp is a joke and means in fact a plant closure step by step. In the long run no plant can survive with a capacity of 80000 cars per year (installed capacity in Antwerp is about 250000 cars per year).
GM management is playing a dirty game. With their promises for the survival of the Antwerp plant they tried to avoid joint actions of all Delta-plants. Now they speculate that the four safeguarded plants are not going into solidarity action for Antwerp. The EEF and the GM-workers all over Europe now have to show the management that their strategy is not working and that there is europeanwide solidarity and the Antwerp workers are not left alone. Now we have to show that we are willing to act jointly and the workforce of every european plant has to do actions that hurt GM. Maybe management is prepared for the strike actions in Antwerp - production of Astras in stock in the last weeks - therefore it is important that the other plants act, too.
Another lesson should be that we need a juridically strong European agreement for all plants. Management clearly showed that the employees can't rely on their promises. What does that mean for the plants that seem to be safeguarded at the moment? There is no guarantee that GM does not play its dirty game in one or two years again. So let's fight jointly for a juridically confirmed perspective for all our plants. We will not achieve that without strong pressure. Maybe in other Automobile companies the relationship between management and employees is different, but GM management only learns the hard way.
