Support from Australia

Hi GM European Workers,

Just wanted to let you know that things at GM plants here in Australia aren't so great either (lots of job cuts recently) but that the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) are doing their best, and I'm sure that if your colleagues here knew what GM were inflicting on people in Europe they'd be fighting for you as well as for themselves.

I'm not a GM employee but my husband works in automotive manufacturing, and I just wanted to let you know that people here, at least, are well aware of what GM are trying to do to workers in Australia, and they're vocal in supporting workers' rights. I just wanted to let you know that although I'm only one person, I'm going to direct everyone I know to this site (lots of my friends are trade unionists) and that we're thinking of you and supportive of your struggle. Stay strong!

Best wishes,

Shannon

We are in a time where their is massive uncertainty but one thing we need to do is unite. I am one person but as a indivdials workers you can not make change. As a collective we can make a big difference if we unite. I am fed up with employers using the current global economic situation as a means to down trod and abuse the current cilamate. What do you think? & what can we donabout it?
dear brothers we are heading for hard times in australia we have lost thousands of jobs to china and i believe it will only get worse unless we get our governments to stsrt doing somthing right now to stop the rot
Hi Shannon,
